‘Perfect fit’, ‘Don’t need him’ – Plenty of Nottingham Forest fans react to club’s rumoured interest in signing midfielder

Nottingham Forest are believed to be interested in a deal to sign Cardiff City winger Josh Murphy according to Football Insider. 

Murphy has found regular game time hard to come by this season, and has been restricted to just three league starts this term for Neil Harris’ side.

This has seen the 25-year-old linked with a January departure, although it remains to be seen as to whether any formal bids have been made by any of the interested clubs.

Football Insider also claim that both Derby County and Sheffield Wednesday are interested in signing Murphy, but a frontrunner is yet to emerge in the race to land his signature.

Nottingham Forest have struggled this season in the Championship, with Chris Hughton’s side currently sat 19th in the second-tier standings after their opening 24 matches.

Therefore, some of the City Ground faithful will be keen to see the Reds boss add to his squad before the January transfer window reaches a conclusion.
