Sky Bet Championship side Swansea City have reportedly joined a host of teams in monitoring the progress of Motherwell attacker Jake Hastie.

Reports claim that scouts from Swansea, Norwich City, West Bromwich Albion, Leeds United and Sunderland were present as the 19-year-old scored his third goal in two games against St. Mirren on Wednesday night.

The winger has scored a total eight goals this season for both Motherwell and Alloa Athletic, where he spent the first half of the season on loan at the Scottish Championship outfit, and looks to be an exciting option on paper.

Here, we discuss whether he'd be a good signing for Swansea City...

George Harbey

"Hastie has had an impressive season to date and it comes as no surprise to see clubs from England declare an interest in him.

"He can play either out wide or further forward and has been on fire in the Scottish Premiership since returning to Motherwell.

"Swansea are in need of another creative spark to help out Oli McBurnie, and Hastie could definitely provide that."

Jacob Potter

"He would be the perfect Daniel James replacement.

"I can't see James sticking round with Swansea in the summer, and Hastie could be the like-for-like replacement for the Welshman.

"He could develop at Swansea, but needs first-team assurances from them before joining."

Louie Chandler

"This would be a tremendous signing.

"Hastie would suit Graham Potter's style of play down to the ground and add a real dynamism to the wings if James were to depart.

"I am not sure I can see the board splashing out on him, though."
