The 2017/18 campaign was a huge success for Millwall, who took the Sky Bet Championship by storm on their return to the second-tier.

Not many expected Millwall to mount a promotion push, but an extraordinary run post-Christmas saw Neil Harris’ side climb into top-six contention, eventually finishing eighth in the table and agonisingly short of the play-offs.

Key to that run of form was Ben Marshall, who spent the second-half of last season on-loan at The Den.

Harris had been keen to get the winger, who scored three goals and registered five assists last season, back on board this summer, but Millwall have lost out to Norwich City, who have swooped to sign Marshall from Wolves.

Here at FLW, we wanted to find out just how gutted Millwall’s supporters were after missing out on the 27-year-old’s signature this summer.

Voting in our poll was torn, but 63% of Millwall’s supporters are frustrated that Marshall has made the move elsewhere in the Championship ahead of next season.

The remaining 37% of voters in our poll didn’t seem fussed about the influential winger making the switch to Norwich to link up with Daniel Farke’s side.
