Manchester City manager Pep Guardiola has praised Jack Harrison’s pre-season performances, and believes joining Leeds United is a good move for the forward.
In a tweet from Manchester City, Guardiola stated he felt that a loan move to Elland Road would be a positive one for the 21-year-old Englishman.
The tweet stated: “@Harrison_Jack 11 did so well in the preseason and I was so impressed. His move to Leeds is perfect for him and he will do well under Marcelo Bielsa. #mancity”.
Leeds United confirmed the loan signing of Harrison earlier this week on a season-long loan deal from the Etihad.
Harrison started his career coming through the youth ranks of Manchester United and Liverpool, before signing his first professional contract with Major League Soccer side New York City FC in 2016, where he scored 14 goals in 57 appearances.
Manchester City signed Jack Harrison in January this year, before sending the youngster out on loan to fellow Championship side Middlesbrough, where he made just four appearances.
There is no question that Jack Harrison has potential be a top player.
Whilst at Middlesbrough, the 21-year-old never got to show his full potential, as he played understudy to star man Adama Traore.
But, now at Leeds United, Harrison can prove his worth and show that talent that Pep Guardiola was referring to.
