Newcastle United fans are furious after reports regarding one of their January transfer targets.
The Daily Mail have reported that Crystal Palace have agreed a fee for Hull City star Jarrod Bowen.
The 23-year-old has been a revelation for the Tigers this season and Roy Hodgson’s side are said to have agreed a fee of £16million plus add-ons for the forward.
Bowen has just 18 months remaining on his contract with the Tigers, and it seems that his long-term future could be decided sooner rather than later.
Newcastle United have had a decent transfer window themselves having signed Nabil Bentaleb and Valentino Lazaro already, but it seems that supporters are unimpressed at missing out on a player who they were said to be interest in.
Here’s how some fans responded to the news on social media.
£16m for a lad potentially as good as Maddison and we’re being outfoxed by Crystal Palace and their 105 year old manager. Pathetic #nufc

Cheers sons crying, nice one.

That’s a weird of way of spelling Newcastle United

So NUFC have lost out on their target for the sake of 4m?!

I thought the stumbling block was the £22m price tag? If £16m has been agreed then why aren’t Newcastle in for him?

Not surpsised. If takeover talks truly ongoing then no permanent deals we'll see until this window shuts only loans

Can you remember the names of these 12 obscure Hull City men? Have a go!
16!!! Guaranteed that after 2 years in the prem his value will be sky high like James Maddison's!!! Nufc should just pay the money!!!
