Many Coventry City fans have debated the club’s most underrated performer to ever play for the club.
Mark Robins’ has guided the Sky Blues to a superb season so far and recent results have now seen them move to second in League One and very much on course to seal an automatic promotion to the Premier League.
A run of 14 games unbeaten further strengthened at the weekend when goals from Callum O’Hare and Maxime Biamou netted in the 2-0 win over Southend.
Having lost just three league games all term, Robins’ squad have been in excellent form with the likes O’Hare, Biamou, Sam McCallum and Kyle McFadzean all maintaining consistent displays.
Whilst those aforementioned players continue to hit the headlines, some have played well under the radar – and they may well labelled as underrated come the end of the season.
Looking back over recent times at Coventry, a few names spring to mind who have not gained the press and reputation their performances have warranted and that led Football League World’s Ben Crump to ask fans: Who is Coventry City’s most underrated player this season?” via Facebook Group Coventry City fans forum.
A number of names emerged from fans with Paul Telfer’s name appearing a couple of times. The former Sky Blues defender spent six years with the club before moving on to the likes of Southampton and Celtic.
