Paul Lambert has decided to move on-loan winger Jordan Graham on, with the 23-year-old now training with League One Oxford.

Graham joined the Tractor Boys in the summer from Premier League Wolves and he made four appearances for Paul Hurst's side.

However, the appointment of Lambert at Portman Road has done the player no favours, with the pair clearly having issues from the past.

He has failed to make the matchday squad for the new boss' first two games in charge, draws with Preston and last time out against Reading.

The Scotsman was Graham's manager at both Aston Villa and Wolves and on both occasions he rarely used the winger.

Therefore, despite Ipswich's struggles, journalist Tim Spiers revealed that Lambert was not keen on having Graham around the squad and he is now training with League One Oxford.

Karl Robinson is a big fan of the player, who has impressed on loan with The U's before and is hoping to strike a deal for the Wolves man when the window opens again in January.

The Verdict

Clearly, Graham and Lambert have not seen eye-to-eye in the past and the manager thinks this is the right move to help the overall squad.

From a football perspective, it seems bizarre to not use a talented player given Ipswich's struggles but Lambert isn't a fan.

That happens in the game and whilst Graham is probably upset to not have a chance, he needs to keep himself fit and ready for another move in January.
