Ipswich Town go into the weekend's fixtures knowing they need to pick up points quickly.

The Tractor Boys are currently six points adrift at the bottom of the table and already look to have a big fight on their hands if they're to preserve their Championship status.

It's been over 60 years since Portman Road saw any football outside the top two divisions, but after a horrible start under Paul Hurst, they've now turned to former Celtic player Paul Lambert as their saviour.

He's been giving an update on the club's current injury situation, ahead of a tough looking trip to Nottingham Forest this weekend.

In this morning's press conference, he confirmed there were no new injuries to be concerned about, bar the long-term absentees Tom Adeyemi and Emyr Huws, as well as Fulham loanee Tayo Edun.

“Everybody is fit, apart from the long-term injuries of Emyr & Tom. Tayo Edun has an eye injury so he’s back at Fulham at the minute.”

Lambert's side are without a home win all season, and have won just once away, conceding 18 goals in the process. Their opponents have lost just one at the City Ground since the big kick-off and conceded just eight goals.

The Verdict

Sorry Paul, but this is going to be a very tough afternoon for your side.

Forest bagged five in midweek and with Lolley and Grabban on fire there's only one way this game is going to go.

Whether Ipswich have a clean bill of health or not is largely irrelevant, they need quality and right now it is desperately lacking.
