Paul Lambert claims Wolverhampton Wanderers must do this to turn things around

Paul Lambert has urged Wolverhampton Wanderers to start making the most of all their possession, and begin picking up points, reports the Express and Star.

Wolves went through February without picking up a single victory, as Lambert’s side plummeted towards the relegation zone.

Four defeats in the Sky Bet Championship combined with an FA Cup defeat to Chelsea, piled misery on all around Molineux.

Lambert’s side enjoyed more possession in all their league defeats, including against league leaders Newcastle United, but failed pick up three-points, something Lambert spoke to the Express and Star about, he said: “That stats are there but we have to finish off the dominance we are getting.

“That’s something we have to eradicate. When you’re on top you have to finish teams off.”

Their last league outing was a clash with Birmingham City, where the Blues were eventual 2-1 winners, despite playing the majority of the second-half with ten men, following Paul Robinson’s dismissal.

That defeat left Lambert’s side 20th in the Championship table, and Wolves are now just two-points above the relegation zone, following Blackburn Rovers’ victory against Derby County last night.

Wolves face promotion chasing Reading on Saturday, where they will face another tough task of picking up three-points.
