Paul Heckingbottom endured a tough first game as Leeds United boss with the Whites falling to a 2-1 defeat against Yorkshire rivals Sheffield United last week.

It means Leeds still haven’t won since Boxing Day and are now eight points away from the top six despite a strong start to the campaign.

Whilst a play-off finish was more hope than expectation under the new boss it does look as though Heckingbottom will be planning for next season already.

And, that could mean several new faces come through the door at Elland Road as part of a big shake up of the current squad. With that in mind, there will also inevitably be departures.

Here we look at two players who should be offloaded in the summer.

The big striker hasn’t made a positive impact since joining Leeds in the summer from Dutch side NEC Nijmegen and it’s hard to see if he has a future at the club.

Given he is only 19-years old you would be tempted to loan Grot next season as he may come good but either way he will have to move to get games.

Leeds are already weak up front and the teenager couldn’t make the squad for Heckingbottom’s first game in charge which suggests he didn’t impress in training either. New signings for next season will also push him further down the queue.

The club made several questionable signings in the summer and Grot is one of those. A move, be it temporary or permanently, seems inevitable by August.

The French winger is another who has struggled this season and if Heckingbottom is serious about building a squad that is capable of promotion then Sacko should depart.

Whilst he is a threat with his pace, the 23-year old infuriates fans with his inconsistent final product and to be honest there are better options already at the club.

With further attacking additions likely in the summer then Sacko is going to face an uphill battle to win a place so should be moved on instead.
