QPR's under-23 boss Paul Hall has stated that there is a big opportunity for some of the younger players at the club as they head out on loan spells.

The R's have a whole host of youngsters coming through their ranks looking to follow in the footsteps of players such as Ilias Chair and Eberechi Eze.

Hall and the club have decided that for many players loan moves are the best option in order for them to experience playing professional football first-hand.

Two players who have recently been loaned out are Lewis Walker and Amrit Bansal-McNulty. They've joined Aldershot and Torquay, looking to gain more experience.

Hall has expressed his praise for the duo, and stated that Bansal-McNulty has the opportunity to now show that he can do it at that level against men's teams.

Speaking to QPR's official website, Hall said: "They are playing against men now and the intensity levels go up again; the risk-taking goes up again.

“Amrit played in front of 2,000 people on Saturday and I was there to watch it. He was really good and it didn’t bother him that he was playing against men. He was the best player on the pitch, for me.

“Hopefully he’ll go on to show that he can play against men’s team and put people under pressure. If he can do it at that level, I believe he can do it at any level.”

The Verdict

Youth development seems to have been a major factor in QPR bringing in successful players over the last few years, and it looks like there is a big focus on that once more at the club.

The whole squad needs to improve in the next few years if they're to have any chance of challenging near the top end of the table again.

These youngsters can provide that improvement and show that they are the real deal, but they must show their quality in these loan moves and not get overwhelmed.
