Wigan striker Kieffer Moore played a crucial role as Wales managed to beat Azerbaijan 2-0 to ensure they still have an opportunity of automatic qualification for the European Championships.

Moore was terrific throughout and netted the first goal of the game as he headed home Harry Wilson's corner in the 10th minute of the fixture.

The victory meant that Wales are now one victory away from qualification, and they face a home tie with Hungary to decide their fate.

The 27-year-old is becoming a key part of Ryan Giggs' Wales side and he has become a regular starter alongside Real Madrid star Gareth Bale.

It has come as somewhat of a surprise to some Wigan supporters to have seen Moore become so vital on the international stage, as the forward has scored just once for the Latics in his 14 appearances so far in this current campaign.
