It has been another disappointing season for Peterborough United in League One with hopes of promotion fading faster by the week.
They still sit just two points outside the play-offs, but after three consecutive defeats to Bradford City, AFC Wimbledon and Coventry City it looks unlikely that they will get there.
After the opening two months of the season, the Posh sat comfortably in the automatic promotion places under Steve Evans but following a Christmas and New Years’ collapse, he was sacked.
Darren Ferguson returned for his third spell as manager on a caretaker basis, winning two times in nine attempts so far, with little signs of improvement on show.
MANAGER APPOINTMENT | The football club is delighted to announce that Darren Ferguson has signed a three-year deal with assistant manager Gavin Strachan also penning a three-year contract. #pufc

But, nevertheless, the club announced on Wednesday that Fergie Jr had been appointed permanently and on a three-year deal.
It is a decision that has split the fans, with many feeling that it is a step backwards rather than forward whilst others see it as a much-needed move towards stability.
Here is what they had to say…
I'll go with that. ????

Excellent news! Patience is key now, going to take a while to repair the previous manager’s damage.
