Nottingham Forest fell to their sixth defeat of the season this afternoon, as Chris Hughton’s side lost 2-0 to Barnsley at Oakwell.
Two wins before the international break would have given Chris Hughton’s side confidence going into this afternoon’s clash at Oakwell, but they were to be left frustrated.
The Tykes hit the woodwork three times over the course of the 90 minutes, with Lyle Taylor and Miguel Angel Guerrero also being denied by an impressive Jack Walton either side of half-time.

Barnsley’s pressure was rewarded on 85 minutes, though, as Callum Styles fired in a long-range effort past Brice Samba and into the net.
Cauley Woodrow doubled the hosts’ lead only two minutes later, with the striker producing a composed finish to secure the win.
A disappointing afternoon for the Reds, then, and only the second loss under Chris Hughton after a recent revival of late.
Here, we take a look at Forest fans’ reactions to the performance, where missed chances proved costly in the end…

Very disappointing after arguably our best first half in a long time. Shows that you just have to take your chances but Barnsley had plenty of their own too. Bad defeat in the end.

Will Swan and mighten on the bench next time we should have gone for it and that's what Barnsley did and they got the win out of it

Game was screaming for fresh legs and we don’t even bother making subs?

Another laughable result in this, frankly nauseating, season.
The standard of defending was absolutely pathetic. And to miss three excellent chances as well? Honestly it feels like Sir Alex would struggle to turn us around. The whole club absolutely reeks.
