Bristol City missed out on an FA Cup tie with Liverpool after losing to League One side Shrewsbury Town.
In what was an evenly contested game, centre-back Aaron Pierre separated the sides as his strike in the final minute of the fixture was enough to send Shrewsbury through.
It was a bitterly disappointing result for the Robins to take as Lee Johnson decided to put out a first XI with minimal changes from a routine Championship side.
They couldn’t find a breakthrough in the tie, and at times struggled to deal with the League One side’s fast intensity.
The Robins will now have full focus on the league and hope that they can look back on going out of the competition as a positive come the end of the season.
But here’s how Bristol City supporters reacted to being knocked out of the FA Cup on Tuesday night…

That’s the charity work done for this year now. If some other clubs could reciprocate our kindness that would be great.

It was thrown on purpose. And for right reason. Do you want a season ending the same as the last couple? Eddie will get us goals. Pure concentration on the league. Which is what is needed.
