It's set to be a summer of change at Reading FC, and Jose Gomes looks to move a number of first-team players on before the new season gets underway in August.

Some notable names were left out of their squad for their pre-season trip to Spain, and were left to train at the club's training ground.

Garath McCleary was one of the players left out of the squad, and it seems as though his days with the Berkshire-based club are numbered.

The Jamaican has made 243 appearances across a seven-year-spell with the Royals, since he moved from Nottingham Forest back in 2012.

The winger took to Instagram to issue an update on his progress, although it seems as though he has moved to the academy dressing room, away from the first-team.

Plenty of Reading supporters took to social media to react to this recent update.
