It proved to be another miserable night for Mick McCarthy's Cardiff City yesterday evening, as they suffered a 4-0 home defeat at the Cardiff City Stadium to promotion-chasers West Bromwich Albion.

The Bluebirds had already come into this tie off the back of a 5-1 hammering away at Blackburn Rovers at the weekend and already looking brittle after losing three consecutive league games prior to their clash with Valerien Ismael's side.

Their last victory in the Championship came against a struggling Nottingham Forest side over a fortnight ago, having to stage a second-half comeback to avoid defeat at the City Ground with only Ruben Colwill's brace sparing their blushes.

This latest defeat leaves them in 16th place with the potential to drop down the table even further after tonight's round of second-tier fixtures.

And on their current run of form, with one game left against Reading before the international break, this potentially leaves Mick McCarthy's job in real danger and with 90 minutes of Championship football to save his job.

After managing to remain in the game in the first half against the Baggies, conceding in the fifth minute but holding on until half-time, the floodgates opened in the second 45 with an own goal, Alex Mowatt's thunderstrike and Matt Phillips' 82nd-minute strike making it a miserable evening for the home faithful.

With their latest hammering another tough blow to take after Saturday's 5-1 defeat at Ewood Park, we have taken a look at how a selection of Cardiff City fans have reacted to the result.
