Many Birmingham City fans have taken to Twitter to react to Jacques Maghoma's performance in the club's disappointing 2-0 defeat to Queens Park Rangers in the Championship.

The winger was given the nod to start the clash by head coach Pep Clotet in the absence of Dan Crowley who is currently sidelined with a hamstring injury.

Having yet to provide a direct goal contribution this season for Birmingham, Maghoma would have been determined to produce an eye-catching display against QPR at St Andrew's.

However, the 32-year-old ultimately failed to deliver the goods in what turned out to be a frustrating night for the Blues.

Following a slow start to proceedings, Birmingham fell behind on the stroke of half-time as Grant Hall bundled home from close range for the Hoops.

QPR then doubled their lead in the 67th minute as Bright Osayi-Samuel scored a sublime solo effort which effectively sealed all three points for his side.

As a result of this defeat, the Blues slipped to 15th in the Championship standings.
