Sheffield United are flying in the Championship and ground out a superb 2-2 draw with Norwich City yesterday.

The Blades continue to defy the odds and and sit third in the table under Chris Wilder, who deserves a massive chunk of credit for getting his Blades side in and among the top positions.

One of the key men for Wilder over the last few years has been striker Leon Clarke, but after falling out of favour somewhat this term, there has been some interest from other clubs in the Championship who are keen to add Clarke to their ranks.

Clarke has been an important member of the revolution under Wilder at Bramall Lane, but has his time with the club come to and end and should they cash in on the experienced striker?

We asked our writers here at FLW for their thoughts on the potential sale of Clarke...

George Harbey

"United should keep him.
"He may not have scored as many goals as he did last year, but he’s still a good player to have in the final third of the pitch.
"I don’t see what they’d gain out of selling him."
Gary Hutchinson
“Sell. “They’re heading in one direction and, despite his goals last season, he’s going in another. “There’s little room for sentiment in football. “Clarke’s past his use by date.” Lee Connor "I can't make my mind up with this one. "On one hand Clarke is not the number one choice any more, but on the other hand, where is the benefit in allowing him to move on, especially to another Championship club? "I guess it will come down to Wilder, and if the deal works for the club, it won't surprise me to see Clarke sold".
