There has been something missing at Leeds United this season, with the Whites never really looking like mounting a serious challenge on promotion after their magnificent start to the season was ended at Millwall back in September.  

Under Thomas Christiansen, Leeds headed to the Den unbeaten, but came unstuck to Millwall, who were 1-0 victors over the Whites.

Of course, nobody expected Leeds to go the season unbeaten, but that defeat showed where Christiansen’s side were vulnerable.

The Whites have failed to match the physicality of some sides in the Championship, and that ultimately led to Christiansen’s dismissal.

Paul Heckingbottom is trying to bring some steel to Leeds’ squad, but there is still a soft side to their game that doesn’t look like disappearing overnight.

We have created a situation where Heckingbottom brings Vinnie Jones back to Elland Road as a coach, with the former Leeds midfielder brought in to fire up the playing squad ahead of the run-in.
