It proved a rather eventful Deadline Day for Fulham yesterday as arrivals and a key departure were confirmed in the final hours of the summer window.

Throughout the market, speculation grew around several of the club's best players but, whilst Aleksandar Mitrovic stayed put, Ryan Sessegnon eventually left the club for Tottenham.

A player of his potential is bound to be missed by the Craven Cottage side, then, but it does look as though Scott Parker is happy with the player he got in return from Spurs.

As part of the deal, Josh Onomah has arrived in West London and his new manager has been full of praise for him.

Quoted by Fulham's official Twitter account, he had this to say about the midfielder:

The Verdict

Onomah has certainly got talent, he has shown that at times for Sheffield Wednesday and Aston Villa on loan but he now needs to kick on and display it regularly.

He's got a fine platform at Fulham to do exactly that with some good players around him and, clearly, a manager that has unwavering faith in him to produce the goods.

That, often, can be what a player at the stage that Onomah is at needs to really start to flourish.

Let's see how he gets on.
