‘Papering over the cracks’ – Plenty of Sunderland supporters aren’t happy with latest statistic

Sunderland have made a strong claim for an immediate return to the Championship and look like one of the teams to beat this season.

The Black Cats are currently sat fourth in the League One table, but a recent dip in form has seen the slip away from league-leaders, Luton Town.

Jack Ross’ side have also made the Stadium of Light a fortress this season, and are yet to be beaten on their own patch this term.

They’ll be hoping to build on that with a positive result against Blackpool on Tuesday evening, in what could potentially be a tricky fixture for Ross’ men.

The club highlighted their impressive home form on their Twitter page, with Sunderland now unbeaten in 15 games in front of their own supporters.

But they have drawn a number of games which has halted their progress in League One recently.

It’s safe to say that Sunderland fans weren’t best pleased at this latest statistic.
