Aston Villa currently sit in seventh position in the Sky Bet Championship, after a relatively good start to the season.

Steve Bruce has the luxury of using one of the second tier's most clinical strikers, in the form of Ivorian forward Jonathan Kodjia.

The 27-year-old will undoubtedly have interest from a number of Premier League outfits, and we at FLW have identified the top-flight clubs that need to keep tabs on the striker.....

The Ivory Coast international has shown over the past few seasons that he's a goalscorer.

His form so far this campaign and link-up play will not attract bids from those high up the Premier League table, but he could be very valuable to sides near the bottom, especially in January.

Crystal Palace, Huddersfield and Brighton are three that seem short on a striker and Kodjia would fit the bill. Any deal would seem highly unlikely if Villa are in the hunt for the play-offs, but if they aren't maybe he will force a move.

Everton have to be keen.

Whilst Kodjia could do a job for a lot of the Premier League sides - particularly in the bottom half - it's Everton who perhaps need him most.

The Toffees haven't managed to replace the pace and power of Romelu Lukaku at all and Kodjia looks like the kind of player who'd sort that.

Everton have the money to make an offer too good to be turned down by Villa as well.

Alfie Burns

There will be plenty of Premier League clubs watching Kodjia at this current time.

Crystal Palace’s goalscoring issues have been well documented already this season, and Roy Hodgson could well be taking a look at Kodjia, as his Eagles are desperate for a goalscoring striker.

Kodjia and Palace would be the perfect fit, and Hodgson could put his faith in the Ivorian to score the goals to keep the Eagles in the Premier League.
