In his two and a half seasons at Elland Road, Pablo Hernandez' has become a rather popular figure amongst the Leeds United fanbase, but it seems the experienced winger hasn't forgotten where he came from just yet.

Monday marks the 100th anniversary of Spanish side Valencia, the club where Hernandez began his career, and the 33 year old was keen to mark the occasion with a post on his Instagram account.

Hernandez' post wishes the club a happy 100th anniversary, thanking them for allowing him to be part of its history.

In all, Hernandez made 155 appearances for the La Liga side, with all but one of them coming in a four year spell between 2008 and 2012 before his move to Swansea.

Hernandez also found the net 24 times during his time at The Mestalla.

Since joining Leeds at the start of the 2016/17, initially on loan, Hernandez has made 112 appearances for the Elland Road side, and given his recent form, Leeds fans will surely be hoping he goes on to surpass his tally in the white of Valencia in the white of Leeds.

The verdict

Fans always appreciate a player who continues to have an affinity to their former clubs after they move on.

It shows that they remember what that has done for them and their career.

Leeds fans however, will be hoping Hernandez isn't reflecting on his time at Elland Road from afar anytime soon.
