Marcelo Bielsa's Leeds United side have made an excellent start to the season, and with the Whites currently sitting top of the Championship table, things can only get better at Elland Road.

Their good run of form has largely been down to the impressive form shown by the likes of Kemar Roofe, Mateusz Klich and Pablo Hernandez.

Hernandez in particular has been the standout player for Bielsa's side this season and with four goals and four assists already this season, Leeds fans will be hoping he can continue his excellent start to this years campaign.

Speaking in a press-conference ahead of their game with the Baggies, Hernandez was keen to put his recent good form down to the performances of his Leeds team-mates.

'I don't think 'Pablo plays good'. The teams plays good and this helps me.'

Hernandez and his Leeds team-mates will be hoping to maintain top-spot when they travel to West Brom on Saturday in what is expected to be a potentially tricky away trip against a Baggies side that will be looking to turn round their recent poor run of form as quickly as possible.

The Verdict:

Leeds fans will be delighted with the way their influential midfielder's excellent run of form this season and he can be the real difference to take his side to promotion to the Premier League this season.

When Hernandez hasn't been available this season, Leeds have lacked that 'creative spark' that is needed to unlock opposition defences.

Hernandez is arguably Leeds' most important player this season, and if he can stay fit, then Leeds are surely like to be challenging for the Championship title in May.
