‘Outstanding’ – These Norwich fans are loving the performances of player who is ‘suddenly good’ after Birmingham win

Norwich lifted themselves to seventh in the Championship table on Tuesday night, with a 1-0 win over Birmingham at Carrow Road.

The Canaries were made to wait for their moment against Aitor Karanka’s side, but it eventually came in the 87th minute – barely 60 seconds after Birmingham had been reduced to ten men with the sending off of Adam Clayton – when Mario Vrancic fired into the bottom corner from just inside the area.

Despite having to bide their time against the Blues, there were plenty of positives to take from the game for the Canaries, including the performance of Lukas Rupp.

The January signing from Hoffenheim enjoyed one of his more impressive displays in a Norwich shirt on Tuesday night, and according to WhoScored, had more touches of the ball than any other player in the game with 131, while still recording a hugely impressive 94.7% pass accuracy.

That is something that did not go unnoticed by Norwich fans as they took to Twitter after the win, with many paying tribute to the German’s performance.

Here, we take a look at what some of those supporters had to say about Rupp against Birmingham.
