Bolton Wanderers ran out narrow 1-0 winners over MK Dons on Saturday as they moved into positive points for the first time this season.

It was a frantic end to the game, with Daryl Murphy going from 'zero to hero' in a very short space of time.

The former Nottingham Forest striker had a golden opportunity to open the scoring on the day, but he saw his penalty saved well by MK Dons goalkeeper Lee Nicholls.

But Murphy had the last laugh as he fired home clinically from close-range to spark jubilant scenes from the Bolton supporters, who have had to deal with frustrating and worrying circumstances over the summer.

The Trotters started this year's campaign on minus 12 points after entering administration, and were facing possible liquidation as a club at one stage.

But they've shown remarkable improvement in recent weeks under the management of Keith Hill and will be hoping to build on their impressive recent showings in League One.

Plenty of Bolton fans took to social media to issue their thoughts on who they think should pick up the man-of-the-match award.
