Plenty of Birmingham City fans have reacted to Alvaro Gimenez's tweet following the club's dramatic 2-1 victory over Middlesbrough.

The Blues, who had entered the clash with a point to prove after suffering back-to-back defeats to Derby County and Wigan Athletic, made a bright start at St Andrew's as Fran Villalba was denied by a superb save by goalkeeper Darren Randolph.

The winger then gave Birmingham the lead in the 33rd minute as he fired home following neat work from Maxime Colin.

With the Blues seemingly heading for a 1-0 victory, Daniel Ayala levelled up proceedings in the 87th minute for the visitors.

Undeterred by this setback, Birmingham hit back as teenager Odin Bailey headed home his first goal at senior level to secure all three points for Pep Clotet's side.

As a result of this victory, the Blues moved up to 12th in the Championship standings.

Making reference to last Friday's clash, Gimenez tweeted: "Amazing win!

"We fought together until the end and we got the victory."

Upon seeing the 28-year-old's post, plenty of Birmingham fans reacted in a positive manner on Twitter.
