Sheffield Wednesday goalkeeper Keiren Westwood celebrated an impressive milestone on Saturday afternoon, with the Irish shot-stopper recording his 50th clean-sheet for the club.

The 33-year-old frustrated visitors Bristol City to ensure the Owls escaped with a point, in what was a disappointing afternoon for home fans at Hillsborough.

Westwood has been excellent for the South Yorkshire side since joining the club in 2014 from Sunderland, making over 130 appearances during his three-year spell.

The undisputed number one, Westwood has arguably been the most consistent player of Carlos Carvalhal’s reign, with a number of fine performances from the shot-stopper guiding Wednesday to playoff football in recent season.

With 21 senior Ireland caps to his name, Westwood is an extremely experienced goalkeeper who installs confidence in his back four, and is an extremely popular figure at Hillsborough.

Westwood took to Twitter to thank his teammates for all their efforts in helping him achieve the landmark tally, with fans quick to congratulate the player on his efforts…
