Nottingham Forest were forced to settle for a point against West Brom on Tuesday evening as Jay Rodriguez slotted home a controversial late penalty to share the spoils.

A Stefan Johansen own goal gave Forest an early lead, before Jacob Murphy responded to draw the game level,  but Ryan Yates netted his first goal for the Reds to restore their lead.

Then with just two minutes remaining, Dwight Gayle was adjudged to have been brought down in the penalty area, a penalty in which was cooly converted by Rodriguez.

It was a promising display by the Reds on the night, and one player that caught the eye more than most was Yohan Benalouane.

The January signing was impressive in the Forest back line, and did exceptionally well considering he is still nursing a fractured cheek bone.

The 31-year-old Tunisian felt that his side deserved more than a point from the game, and labelled their display as "a great performance" in a post on his
