Many Birmingham City fans have taken to Facebook to offer their thoughts on Gary Gardner's season to date.

The midfielder, who joined the club on a permanent basis from Aston Villa in the summer as part of a swap deal involving Jota, has produced a number of impressive displays in recent weeks for the Blues.

Following a relatively quiet start to the 2019/20 campaign which resulted in him drifting in and out of Birmingham's starting eleven, Gardner picked up a knee injury in October.

After missing eight matches due to this issue, the midfielder made his return to action in December and his since stepped up his performance levels in the Championship.

Now an ever-present in the heart of midfield, Gardner has helped the Blues climb up to 14th in the second-tier standings.

During Saturday's 1-1 draw with Brentford, the 27-year-old provided an assist for Lukas Jutkiewicz's opener as Birmingham extended their unbeaten run in all competitions to ten games.

With his side set to face Sheffield Wednesday next weekend, Gardner will be determined to deliver the goods at St Andrew's.
