Hull City have completed the signing of Liverpool’s Herbie Kane on loan until the end of the season, both clubs have confirmed.

The Tigers are looking to bolster their attacking options this month in an attempt to push for the play-offs, as they sit just two points behind the play-off pack after their win against Sheffield Wednesday on New Year's Day.

Hull have started the season very well and look like a side that could break into the top six if they get a run together, but like most teams, they will be keen to add a few fresh faces to the squad in the January transfer window

Built on a stern defence, the Tigers have used this as a platform to be a swift counter-attacking side with pace and ruthlessness up front, mainly via the goalscoring exploits of Jarrod Bowen, who's New Year's Day goal took him to 16 in the league.

However, beyond Bowen, McCann's side has been short of goals throughout and this has clearly been a priority to resolve in January.

One player who has now been added to McCann’s squad with a move to the KCOM Stadium is Liverpool youngster Herbie Kane, who arrives at Hull looking to develop with his second spell of regular senior football, having spent last campaign on-loan at Doncaster Rovers.

The 21-year-old made his senior Liverpool debut this season when the Reds faced MK Dons in the EFL Cup, before featuring again when they faced Aston Villa in the Quarter-finals. Back in 2018, Kane was nominated alongside teammates Trent Alexander-Arnold and Ben Woodburn for the Golden Boy Award.

Hull City confirmed that Kane joins the club on loan until the end of the season:
