Grimsby Town confirmed this morning that manager Michael Jolley had left the club after a 'recent run of poor results'.

The 42-year-old was named as the Mariners boss in March 2018 and made an instant impression, with a positive end to the campaign ensuring the side stayed in League Two.

In what his first full season in charge, Grimsby came 17th last season and they are currently one place below that right now.

Therefore, the club announced that they had parted company with Jolley following a seven-game winless streak in all competitions.
