Grimsby Town confirmed this morning that manager Michael Jolley had left the club after a ‘recent run of poor results’.

The 42-year-old was named as the Mariners boss in March 2018 and made an instant impression, with a positive end to the campaign ensuring the side stayed in League Two.
In what his first full season in charge, Grimsby came 17th last season and they are currently one place below that right now.
Therefore, the club announced that they had parted company with Jolley following a seven-game winless streak in all competitions.
Have Grimsby made the right decision in removing Jolley?
Despite that, only four of those were in the league and many fans were behind the long-term thinking of Jolley who had been relatively popular with the majority of the support.
So, it’s fair to say this decision, which came out the blue, did not go down well with the support who want some stability for the club.
Here’s some of the reaction to the decision from Twitter…

Outrageous by town, can’t keep chopping and changing the manager. Do we ever not learn from our mistakes?!
