‘Outrageous’, ‘Absolute filth’ – These Cardiff City fans react to moment of brilliance from midfielder

Cardiff City fell to a third defeat in four as they were beaten 3-2 at home to Brentford this afternoon.
Whilst the game was obviously disappointing for the Bluebirds, as they lost crucial ground on the top six, it’s one that midfielder Will Vaulks will remember for a long time.
That’s because the Welsh international got two goals, including a remarkable 60-yard effort from inside his own half that put Cardiff in front.
The 27-year-old ran on to a smart pass from Robert Glatzel, with many expecting him to take the ball up the pitch. Instead, Vaulks had spotted David Raya off his line, and he executed a great shot that flew over the keeper and in the net.
Quiz: Do Cardiff City and Swansea City have these 10 things in common?
It was a strike that not only got the Cardiff fans talking, but supporters from everywhere, but unfortunately for Vaulks it didn’t help get a positive result.
Here we look at some of the reaction to the goal from Twitter…
