Birmingham City have confirmed the addition of China Under-18 international Bernard Sun on a free transfer.

The 20-year-old has penned a two-year contract at St Andrew's after training with the Midlands outfit over the summer, during which time he featured in a friendly match against Olympiacos.

Sun joins Pep Clotet's side after leaving Spanish side Estudiantes de Murcia earlier this summer, and he becomes the 11th player to join the Blues since the end of last season.

The Shanghai-born midfielder started his playing career with Kaiserslauten before eventually joining Jumilla in Spain, where he became a regular feature for reserve side Estudiantes de Murcia.
