Brentford head coach Thomas Frank is celebrating one year since he took charge of the club following the departure of Dean Smith.

Frank was promoted from his position as assistant head coach to take full charge of first-team affairs after Dean Smith left the club to join Aston Villa early on in the campaign.

The Dane endured a testing start to his Griffin Park reign by seeing his side win just one of his first 10 matches, but he then guided the Bees to an 11th-placed finish by the end of last term.

Brentford have failed to build on this top-half finish so far this season as they are currently sitting 17th in the table after winning just three of their opening 11 matches.

However, the club has now taken to Twitter to congratulate Frank on his 365 days in charge:

Plenty of Brentford fans responded to this message by assessing Frank's year at the Griffin Park helm, with many of them expressing their displeasure with the team's underwhelming start to the season.
