Watford slipped out of the Championship play off places as Cardiff City took a narrow away win back to South Wales.

Spirits were high at Vicarage Road following last weeks 4-1 victory over Preston North End, and whilst a goalless draw away at Nottingham Forest in midweek wasn't perfect, it was an acceptable result for the Hornets.

And against the Bluebirds, Watford had the majority of the possession but they couldn't turn that into goals, with just one attempt out of 13 going on target.

Cardiff only had one shot on target as well, however there's was more effective as Welsh striker Kieffer Moore was on hand to fire home after a Cardiff corner wasn't dealt with in the first half.

Despite having the likes of Joao Pedro, Ismaila Sarr and Troy Deeney all starting, Watford couldn't find a way through the Cardiff defence, and questions really do need to be asked.

Watford fans, and probably neutrals as well expected the team to be up there in the top two from the get-go, but it hasn't worked out that way so far.

They should be doing much better with the squad at their disposal, and Hornets fans are blaming one man for their poor performances, and that is manager Vladimir Ivic.

Some are already calling for a changing of the guard, whilst others are getting close to losing patience - check out some of the Twitter comments on Ivic following today's loss below.
