Hibernian have joined Aberdeen and Hearts in the race to sign Birmingham City’s Greg Stewart this summer, with Neil Lennon keen to add the winger to his squad ahead of their return to the Scottish Premiership, reports the Scottish Sun.

Lennon’s side are returning to the top-flight next season, but are set to be without Jason Cummings, with the 23-goal forward seemingly on the way to the Sky Bet Championship to link up with Nottingham Forest.

Stewart, who endured a difficult first season with Birmingham, is a target for Hibs, as Lennon looks to replace the departing Cummings.

Having arrived at St Andrew’s ahead of the 2016/17 campaign from Dundee, Stewart struggled to make an impact under Gary Rowett or Gianfranco Zola and made just six starts across the season – only featuring once as a substitute under Harry Redknapp, following his appointment in April.

The Scottish winger is now attracting interest from his homeland, with Aberdeen, Hearts and Hibs all willing to give Stewart a route out of English football.

During two years with Dundee in the Scottish Premiership, Stewart scored 26 goals, and made a fantastic start to the 2016/17 campaign at Dens Park, scoring six goals in three League Cup appearances for the Dees before his move to Birmingham.
