QPR were beaten 2-0 by play-off rivals Stoke City at the Kiyan Prince Foundation Stadium yesterday and the performance of defender Osman Kakay has proven a talking point amongst fans of the west London club.

Goals from Tyrese Campbell and Mario Vrancic meant the Potters came away with all three points yesterday – though the hosts may feel they were unfortunate given they dominated possession and had more chances.

With Lee Wallace, Sam McCallum, Albert Adomah, and Moses Odubajo all out injured, Kakay was the R's only fit wing-back and started on the right with midfielder Sam Field filling in on the left.

Kakay won two of his four ground duels and two of his three in the air, while he also made two clearances and won two free-kicks (Sofascore).

The 24-year-old had 51 touches, connected with 77% of his passes, made one key pass, connected with two of his six crosses, and had one shot wide of the target.

The defender has found himself down the pecking order this term but now looks set for a chance to change Warburton's mind given the injuries in the squad.

His performance against Stoke proved a controversial one amongst fams of the Hoops, with many taking to Twitter to voice their thoughts...
