Aston Villa were left frustrated yesterday after blowing a 1-0 lead and failing to find a winner against 10-man Ipswich Town.

After back-to-back wins to open their Championship campaign, Aston Villa were the strong favourites to triumph over Ipswich, despite being away from home.

Jonathan Kodjia opened the scoring for Aston Villa and it looked like they were on a roll again, before an Orjan Nyland mistake gifted Ipswich an equaliser.

Jonas Knudsen delivered a long throw into the box, Nyland came for it and flapped with Trevoh Chalobah pouncing on the loose ball to fire home the equaliser.

After a shaky debut against Wigan Athletic, where he conceding two goals, including an error to allow Nick Powell to equalise, the Norway international had another poor match.

Aston Villa fans took to social media to discuss the 27-year-old's performance, with some criticising the stopper and calling for Jed Steer to return from Charlton Athletic on loan while others were calling for him to be given time to adjust.

Here are a selection of tweets about Nyland's performance against the Tractor Boys.
