Wolves have had fine season so far in the Championship but the same can't be said for their U23 side who are languishing towards the bottom of the Premier League 2 division.

And, last night the development side were battered 6-1 by local rivals Aston Villa despite including three first-team players.

Ruben Vinagre, Jordan Graham and January signing Rafa Mir all started for the Black Country side but couldn't do much to prevent a Callum O'Hare inspired Villa side running riot.

Whilst football at that level is not about the result and more about developing players, the manner of the defeat is sure to alarm those at Wolves.

It also doesn't reflect well on the trio of players who would've hoped to use that game as a platform to push for a recall to the first-team which looks highly unlikely now.

Unsurprisingly, fans were slightly concerned too and made their feelings known on twitter...
