Darren Moore was harshly sacked as West Brom manager on Saturday following a 1-1 draw with bottom-of-the-league Ipswich Town, with an immediate response now required against Swansea City on Tuesday.

They currently sit fourth in the Championship table with ten matches left to play but felt a change was needed in order to maintain their promotion push.

And they were handed a boost in the build up to the clash with an illness meaning that the Swans would have to make do without their star striker Oli McBurnie.

The Swans succumbed to a 1-0 loss to Norwich City last time out and will be looking to bounce back against the Baggies.

But without McBurnie, who has scored 16 goals and assisted four more this season already, it will be a very tough ask.

So, how should West Brom fans feel about this latest development?

After a support-splitting division was made at the weekend this will be just what the Hawthorn’s faithful needed to see.

Many felt Moore was out of his depth at the club and many felt he deserved much more time than he got.

But the players will need those fans to pull together as soon as possible with a chance of automatic promotion still up for grabs and beyond that, the play-offs.

The McBurnie news will give everyone a timely lift and make every fan, regardless of their stance on the Moore decision, think that a crucial result could be in the offing.
