Since their relegation to the third tier in 2011, the aim of Sheffield United has been to get back to the Championship.
However, in four seasons, the Blades have failed to gain promotion, with three of these seasons ending in play-off heartbreak.
In this time, the side have had three managers with a fair reputation: Danny Wilson, David Weir and Nigel Clough.
So, could this finally be the season where they achieve promotion?
The man tasked with this is former Southampton boss Nigel Adkins. There must be a sizeable amount of confidence in Adkins’ ability to get the Yorkshire club promoted, as he’s previously achieved promotion from Sky Bet League One with Scunthorpe and Southampton.
In addition to a very competent manager, United have a large array of talent, young and old, to call upon.
Already this season, the experienced Billy Sharp has scored seven goals in 14 league appearances, whilst youngster Che Adams boasts an even better goals to game ratio, having scored six goals in 10 league appearances.
The Bramall Lane outfit have had a solid start to the season, and are a nicely placed fifth in League One, four points off Walsall who are second.
