After constant speculation and no news from upstairs, Leeds United boss Neil Redfearn still doesn't know what the future holds.

Will Redfearn stay or go?

Heralded for the turn around that has already seen Leeds United safe from the relegation that threatened the club in January, there's no doubt that Redfearn deserved an extended contract along with a bumper wage for his contribution to the sides development.

Most managers would have a three-year deal signed after such a turn around. The constant shenanigans off the pitch have affected what happens on it and Redfearn has shown time and time again that he can keep the lads focused.

With his assistant being suspended and now the man that suspended him has apparently left his role, you wouldn't blame the coach for jumping ship. But he's still here!

For 12 years Leeds have been the sleeping Giants that have been promised the light at the end of the tunnel by countless owners, but when they have a winning formula a player is sold or a manager is put under pressure and then fired.

The truth is that Redfearn has been the catalyst for the current squad being able to stand against some of the top sides of the league and sometimes walk away with points.

If he's allowed his pick in players this summer and the freedom to pick his own team Leeds have a realistic chance at the top six.

The current stars for the club are the four youngsters that Redfearn himself has brought through the youth ranks and nurtured into fine footballers.

The young stars like Byram, Cook, Taylor and Mowatt feel safe under his tutorship and have performed miraculously under him.

If Redfearn stays then there's no doubt that the players that stand by him will stay too, even if bigger clubs come in.

Clubs will now be circling around the under pressure boss and for good reason. If Leeds can sort their heads out and offer Redfearn a deal then next season can be a success.
