After being heavily linked with the managerial vacancy at Queens Park Rangers it is time to consider why Gary Rowett won't leave his post at Birmingham City.

After leaving Burton Albion for Birmingham City in 2014, Rowett has been nothing short of a success at Birmingham City.

Before taking over from Lee Clarke, the Blues were in a complete mess and were almost relegated to League One the season prior to his arrival.

Still, under Rowett, they have looked like a completely different team and he guided them from 21st place to 10th in his first season with club.

Earning plaudits for the remarkable turnaround at the football club, he's been a man in demand.

The fourty-two-year-old is one of the most wanted young managers in the English game at the moment, and his work hasn't gone unnoticed it seems, having been linked with a move to Queens Park Rangers following the sacking of Jimmy Floyd Hasslebaink.

No matter how satisfied he is with proceedings at Birmingham City - there are always aspirations for managers who manage in the Championship.

But there is something different about Rowett, he is an intelligent manager. A highly respected coach at St. Andrew's, and wouldn't want to be stupid by throwing away what he has achieved at Birmingham.

He has a fantastic mentality, and you can see the players want to play for him.

They look up to him, and that is shown on the pitch. Birmingham have been yet again impressive this season, and sit just outside the play-off places.

Everything appears to be going right for him in the Second City, with the club embarking on a long-term project under his stewardship.

What do you think Birmingham fans? Can Queens Park Rangers tempt Gary Rowett? Or does the Birmingham manager have too much to throw away? Can you make the play-offs under his influence this season?
