With the top two of the Championship pretty much decided, unless one or both take a dismal turn in their form, Brighton & Hove Albion and Newcastle United are set to lock horns ahead of the final two months of the 2016/17 campaign.
The Magpies had the strength and confidence to overcome their promotion rivals on Tuesday night to re-gain their place at the top, which seems to be changing week-in, week-out, between the two teams.
Newcastle may be two points above Brighton in the table, but there's plenty of points to be racked up and the title is anyone's to lose right now - here's a look at the two club's run-in to the end of the season.
Chris Hughton's Seagulls have just one team from the current top six left to play, and that comes against Garry Monk's determined Leeds United just before the international break later this month.
Their outings between now and then include two successive trips on the road to relegation looming Nottingham Forest and foot-of-the-table Rotherham United. There is also a home match with Derby County to come as well.
The eight matches remaining then are all winnable, with just one being against a team in the top-half at the moment, Norwich City.
Brighton end the campaign with a trip to the Midlands as they face Aston Villa, which could determine whether they finish top or not in the race for promotion back to the top-flight.
On the other hand, Newcastle face a much trickier twelve games to play. The team's next two encounters come against current play-off sides, Reading and Huddersfield, neither will be easy for the Magpies.
Meanwhile, Rafa Benitez and his squad will still face to face the other two who make up the top-six next month as they welcome Leeds United and travel to Yorkshire for a tough fixture against Sheffield Wednesday.
In comparison to Brighton & Hove Albion's one match against top-half opposition, other than those mentioned, Newcastle have still got to play against Preston North End, Barnsley and Cardiff City. They won't be easy games for the Tyneside club to overcome.
So it appears that the two teams chasing the Championship title have very different run-ins and that could be the difference come the end of the season.
In my opinion, because of that, the Seagulls will finish top of the tree as they search for top-flight football. Newcastle's players may have a stronger mentality than their promotion rivals but that won't be enough on the pitch.
Do you agree? Who can you see finishing with the title, Newcastle or Brighton? Is there still a chance that someone else could claim top spot? What will be the difference? Let us know your thoughts in the comments below!
