Charlton Athletic defender Jason Pearce was recently ruled out for at least 12 weeks with a groin injury.

This comes as a huge blow to the Addicks because Pearce had formed a formidable centre back partnership with Patrick Bauer for Charlton.

But the Addicks have plenty of alternative options and Karl Robinson will be running the rule over the rest of his centre halves, who will all be desperate to fill in for Pearce and impress over the next three months.

This could be the last chance that Harry Lennon has of saving his Charlton Athletic career.

The 22-year-old looked destined for the exit door in January but could be given one last opportunity to prove his worth.

The academy graduate has played just twice in the league this season, giving away a late penalty in one game and being sent off in the other.

Could this be Lennon's chance to right those wrongs and show Charlton fans why he's worth keeping?

Alternatively, Charlton might think twice about selling promising youngster Ezri Konsa.

The 19-year-old is rumoured to be off to the Premier League but Charlton could put their foot down and look to blood him straight into their first team after the teenager has impressed in his 10 league outings this season.

Their other option would be to reintroduce Jorge Teixeira to the frame.

After being frozen out by Russell Slade, Charlton fans were seemingly consigned to his exit in January.

But he has featured in every game under Karl Robinson so far and this could well continue in the absence of Jason Pearce.

Their final option is to recall veteran defender Roger Johnson, who has not featured in the league since the opening day.

Robinson handed the 33-year-old a 10 minute cameo in the FA Cup against Milton Keynes and this could be the start of a slow reintegration attempt.
