League One has only just got into the swing of things this year, which means its anyone's guess who will get promoted this year.

Currently, Gillingham sit top of Sky Bet league One. After winning nine of their 15 games, this leaves them in prime position to gain promotion this year.

However, the teams around them have the potential to mount a promotion push and challenge with them to reach the Championship.

One of those teams is Wigan Athletic. They currently sit fifth in Sky Bet League One, which leaves them in a play-off place - after two relegations in two years, Gary Caldwell has revolutionised the way that Wigan play.

Not so long ago Wigan were playing in the top-flight of English football, and since then their fans haven't had anything to cheer about.

Although don't worry Wigan fans, as with the experience the club has achieved over the years there is no reason why they cant hold it together and earn promotion.

Another team who is in contention is Burton Albion. Since their League Two triumph last year, nobody, especially their fans would have expected them to be near the top end of table - however after 15 games in, they are.

If Hasselbaink's men can keep away from injuries and maintain a fully fit squad, they can undoubtedly achieve promotion to the Championship this year, and what a success story that would be for Burton Albion.

There is always a surprise package in League One, and this year I think its going to be Rochdale.

After finishing eighth last year and only just missing out on a play-off place by a few points, their fans will be hoping they can achieve it this year.

They are certainly a dark-horse within this divisions, and Keith Hill will be looking to earn his team promotion this season.
