The Sky Bet Championship is a competitive league with an abundance of talent.

Premier League clubs often overlooked players in the second tier of English football, but that is starting to change, with recent transfers of Benik Afobe from Wolves to Bournemouth, and Sam Byram from Leeds to to West Ham.

There are an array wingers in the Championship that are of high quality, with most of them probably able to make the step up into the Premier League.... But who is the best in the division?

Ryan Mendes

mendesss

The Nottingham Forest winger is on loan from French side Lille, and is one of the most exciting talents in the league.

The 26-year-old is quick, direct, and can go past players at will, he has scored two goals and five assists so far this season.

Mendes has been a vital part in Forest going on an eleven game unbeaten run this season and deserves his place on the list of the best Championship wingers.

Dougie Freedman and fans of the club will undoubtedly be keen to see Mendes' deal at the City Ground become permanent, as he has been incredibly influential for the Reds.

Tom Ince

inceeeee

Ince, 23, has been excellent for Derby County this season, and has been a major part of the Rams' push for promotion to the Premier League.

Eight goals in the league and three assists just a small bit of his massive contribution to Derby's promotion bid.

The fact Ince can play in numerous positions and can switch sides, makes him a very dangerous player in the Championship - it would be no surprise to see him gracing the Premier League next season.

Tom Ince deserves his place in the list of Championship wingers, because Paul Clement's side simply wouldn't function as well without him.

Stewart Downing

downingggg

Downing has to be the most consistent performer in the Championship so far this season for Middlesbrough.

The 31-year-old former England international is still an exceptional talent which he has shown week in, week out.

The ex-Liverpool midfielder has gone on to score three goals and provide four assists this season, but it is his overall link-up play that makes him such a standout player in the second tier.

His performances have been outstanding, and he has been a huge factor in Aitor Karanka's team being in the top six of the table.

It is evident that most opposition teams double up on the winger, which makes his performances even more impressive.

Have your say........What do you think of these players? Do you agree with our list of top wingers? who should be no one? Leave your comments below!
