As everyone knows, The Championship is packed with a raft of talent, so narrowing it down to the best 3 players was very difficult.

With the money available to most teams in The Championship now, largely due to their owners, they are able to invest very heavily on the pitch and this has lead to some great players playing in the league.

This has also enabled teams to pick players off Premier League teams, with Newcastle signing Matt Ritchie, Dwight Gayle and Mo Diame from the Premier League and other teams signing players who had options in the Premier League.

With teams who have come down to The Championship having very strong squads, it has been said that The Championship is 'the hardest league in the world', a statement that is backed up by the amount of huge teams that are struggling in the league.

Here, I will look at who I think are the best THREE players in The Championship...

Anthony Knockaert

Knockaert signed for The Seagulls in January and was a key player in their success in the second half of last season. Knockaert has started this season as he finished last, in great form and he possesses qualities that only a few in The Championship have.

Knockaert can drift past players like they aren't even there and terrorises full backs. His skilfulness on the ball turns full backs inside out and playing on the right, he can cut inside onto his wand of a left foot. He is likely to be a key figure, when deciding if Brighton get promoted or not.

If Brighton don't achieve promotion this season then Knockaert is likely to be courted by a Premier League side.

Dwight Gayle

Gayle took the step down from the Premier League Crystal Palace in summer, to go and play at St James Park. He has started the season in fine form, scoring 11 goals already, which have fired Newcastle to the top of the league.

Gayle's pace frightens defenders and they have to stand off him a bit in case he runs in behind. He also possesses a great finishing ability, he only needs one chance and its in the back of your net. He showed his goal scoring instinct against Norwich, when a ball dropped to him late on and with no time to think, he rifled it in the bottom corner.

t5trHe will, in my opinion be the top scorer in The Championship come the end of the season and he will be the key figure if Newcastle are to win the league.

Fernando Forestieri

Forestieri was a summer 2015 signing for Sheffield Wednesday and has proved more than his worth so far. He was crucial for The Owls last season, scoring 15 goals and assisting his team mates six times.

Forestieri provides his team with creativity and he often finds himself between defence and midfield, making him so hard to mark. He also has a great relationship with Gary Hooper, with them providing each other with plenty chances.

He doesn't just come towards the ball though, he has the ability to go in behind which causes so much confusion between oppositions defence and midfield. Forestieri is likely to be key for Wednesday this year, as they look to bounce back from last seasons Play-Off heartbreak.
